Anxiety
Anxiety follows me around
You creep up on me when I least expected
Making my heart race
Pounding like a drum
Repeating in my head
Taking my breath away
Leaving me feeling afraid
Afraid of the endless possibilities you fill my head
Afraid of what might come next
But I won’t let you control me
You won’t hold me back
Ill take that one deep big breath
And remind myself Im still me
Im okay
Anxiety may always be apart of me
But will never define me
Ill move forward after every step I take
That you will try and pull me down
Ill keep moving
Ill never stop
Because Anxeity is only real in my head
Blocking out the screaming noise that fills my head
Why did you do that
They will laugh at you
Everyone is disappointed
But that’s just my mind
So I take my deep breaths
Look around the room
And realize its not real.
