It takes a lot of love
For someone not to care
About how they’re looked upon
A deep burden to bare
Even when the world judges
You don’t care to bat an eye
Walking on thorns unaware
You haven’t felt any shame, why?
Are you faking confidence?
Are you crying with a smile?
While laughing half-heartedly
Your heart once pure, you defile
Built upon a throne of lies
The person you say you are
Is the person you despise
Falsely shining, pseudo star.
