I wish
I wish
I wish i could feel anything but your skin
your touch all over me, leaving goosebumps in your wake
I wish i could see anything but your eyes
blue waves crashing into mine, lashes fanning over freckled skin
I wish i could smell anything but your cologne
your scent still on my sheets, your shampoo in my shower
I wish i could taste anything but your lips
cool like menthol and mint, a breath of fresh air
I wish i could hear anything but your voice
it echoes and haunts me like ghost from my past
I wish i could say anything but your name
soft murmurs and morning pillow talk
But now you have gone and taken my senses with it
I am left blind and mute in the dark, deaf and numb
My body aches to feel, screams for sensation
I wish it would come back
I wish you would come back
I wish
