Desperation
Dead, cold hands reaching out,
Eery silence, I want to shout,
Solemn mourners, with inky tears,
Promises twist and they turn into fears,
Everyone's choking, and yet they can't see,
Reality warping, ignoring my plea,
Again and again I call out "help me please",
Tapping their shoulders, aware of disease,
Illness spreads among them like a shadowy mass,
Over the ground, along the grass,
No one can see me, it's no longer pretend.
So they can't hear the warnings, and they all die in the end.
