Hourglass: The Passage of Time
How i miss you my lost friend.
Only you would dare to be gone in the painted sky for this long.
Uttering your name under my breath as i lay in your bed each night, sand trickling,
Regretting how i'd always thought that an infinite amount of time was placed in our hands.
Glass, symmetric bulbs upon one another continue to remind me of the truth of your absence.
Loneliness engulfs me each day no matter the amount of prayers i pray,
And i know i should've known that time never guarantees any mercy,
So i promise to sleep in your bed each night as a remembrance of how i was unable to,
Save you from all the countless thoughts that made you leave that fateful midnight.
