A Night Around The Fire

There is always a beautiful sight at night;
The moonlight shine glistens throughout the sky.

It chills my body, with the crisp cold air,
Making a fire, full of smoke that fills my clothes.
Kids all around with gooey smores in hand.

Soon it is late and time for bed; everyone
Retreats to their homes and turns off their lights,
For the next day, there will be much to do.

Waking up to morning, and getting dressed.
Walking outside looking at the fire ash,

Being as red as a Cornelian stone
As each ember dies out one by one, the
Sun rises for more joy, we need to get
Ready for home, because the day is done.

I will be back now and again just for
Another chill weekend awaits me so,
for a short goodbye, I say, I will see
you in another weekend or day I say.

I love being around the fire with my friends and family. This poem reminded me of all the good times throughout the years.
