where i'm from
I’m from being the oldest always wanting to be in charge
From Hilton Head and Holland, Michigan
From Indian Hills to catholic schools
From 202 to 222
When I switched in fifth it forever changed my look
But when Covid came it made me sick
Always the only girl
Forever misunderstood
From looking like the youngest but having to act like the eldest
From straight hair to brown hair
From here to there I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else
I am Carter.
