In a Sunset State Of Mind
Standing high on top of the Grand Canyon rough rocks laid a perfect view, I thought as a 13 year old I would never be able to see. Every step I took I felt the weight of air pushing down on me. The higher we climbed the more sparkles glistened on the rough rocks like diamonds were hidden within them. The purity and discrete resemblance to the rough rocks is unique in every shape, way, and form.
As time moves forward, the sun slowly starts to fade away. I stop for a moment and take a deep breath , looking up into the sky. It is more beautiful than I have ever seen before. The sky melts, from orange, to yellow to rosewood pink. The golden ring of the sun caresses the rocks creating a steady flow of warm happiness, exuberant joy, total satisfaction, and boundless pleasure surrounding me. As we started our descent, the birds showered us with their sweet evening lullaby leading us back to reality.
