I’m from Beale Street and BBQ
Graceland and we will rock you
Rhythm and soul
Blues and rock’n’roll
I’m from spending holidays at my grandma’s house
from going to church every Sunday
and climbing the tree in my front yard
soccer practice doing cartwheels with my friends
field days getting snow cones and candy
then next thing I know the Mississippi became the Ohio
The Grizzlies became the Cardinals
And the Bluegrass became my new home
New people
New state
New everything
