the crow
A crow flies by on black wings
He opens his beak and sings
Memento mori
Memento mori
Do not fear death
Do not fear death
Flowers will grow from your bones
Fungi will make your body a home
Beetles will eat you whole
Sings the crow
He flies with his murder
Never looking at death with terror
He flies with the reaper
The soul keeper
He will continue to sing that old song
Trying to show that death is not wrong
Only a part of life we all face
And the crow, he shows that with grace
His feathers fall and his skin flakes off
Revealing his bones and his fiery soul aloft
He was only a spirit
A messenger of death
Cawing over and over we should'nt fear it
That we should savor the time we have left
