I sit alone in this box, surrounded by a deafening silence.

Isolated by these six walls enclosing me.

They left me, leaving nothing but a dull feather behind.

I sit alone in this box, blankly staring at the feather.

A distant memory is all that's left behind–

questioning why I was forgotten

I want to escape, but I just slouch deeper.

I sit alone in this box, wishing I could fly away.

My eyes shut to drown out the emptiness.

In my dream, the thought of death overwhelms me.

I sit alone in this box, petrified of my foreboding future.

A luminous light piers through–

I try to flap my wings and escape.

But I dont move, for I am disintegrating.
