Are You Still Here?
She is so close, yet distant
Her voice whispers in the quiet
I question myself, if these are mind games?
In dreams, she appears, my dear
My hearts starts to beat like a Jack-hammer
Vanish as the red sun rises again
I ask myself is she still here? Maybe
When I see the word, love
It reminds me of her, the memories tied to it
The day time seem so empty
The night even worse it is filled with a void
Even the quiet speaks
When I rest she appears, with happy lies
And I still fall for it
I ask myself is she still here? Maybe
I reminisces the time we spent together
All those moments, all those happy times
It came by like a blink of an eye
I wish that I understood what you said
Now, it is too late for that
I ask myself one more time
Is she still here, yes
Yes she is, still here inside.

What made me write this poem was an incident that happened between me and my best friend and I wanted to talk about it and I feel that I can relate to others who also experience what I felt and did.
