Hidden Angel
When I catch you glancing
My way. I feel like prancing
Around the yard. When you smile at me I feel like I can fly
I feel like I can just defy
 Gravity. But why oh why
Do I have to be so shy?
On my heart I must rely.
 We flirt and joke around
With each other. We had found
Love in each other. So I thought it was just right
That we date. I know I would feel contrite
If I didn’t ask you out. I muster up the courage to say
How I feel about you. I walk up to you. “Hey”,
You say. “Hi” I say blushing. Well here
Goes nothing. I try to appear
Confident as the words, “Would you like to go
Out with me Friday night?” Oh how I want to know
Your answer faster. You look deep into my eyes,
And say, “I can tell no lies,
 You are such a prize,
 But I think it wise,
 For us to advise
Our hearts to say their goodbyes,
For as much as I despise,
 This looks like our demise.”
That took me by such surprise,
Then he turned and walked away into the skies.
