Cursed;

Forever shall happiness be

Something I pursue

Cut the rose down,

Pricked by her thorns,

I only wish I knew

What that

Beautiful, divine

Creation could do

A Gift from Above,

So selfishly wasted,

And for what?

Heartbreak, and

Loneliness are all that

Will ever ensue

The author's comments:

An allusive euphemism for what love can do to a number of individuals.

Originally entitled: "The Curse of the Rose," I guess I just spaced and titled it wrong or editors changed it.
