Favorite Quote:
"Numquam finitur, donec vita finiatur."
- K. D'Angelo Alexander

Been hurt one, two, three many times

Gave up the one true love of my life

And now I fear loving once again

Just waiting for the pain to end

The author's comments:

The first of a collection of four quatrains, describing the fear of love, which is usually caused by heartbreak or some other traumatic event associated with loving another person, or thing. This starts the collection, as it is the reason for the following actions/emotions. Following an eight/nine/nine/eight meter, with an AABB rhyme scheme. All lines, save for line two, have seven-words. The numbers in the poem, one, two, three, and one equal seven.
