Armadillos
Armour of a shell that, once in a while,
Rolls into a ball at the creature’s denial.
Mud-colored to hide
Around dry sandy tides in
Deserts and savannahs; their abode
In the quiet night they walk no road
Lands of pathless fields yonder
Lighthearted as they wander
Onward through the sublime
Silent sands of time.
