After the Bliss
“After the bliss” (memory)
Running wild chasing bubbles and kites,
The world at our fingertips, endless delights.
Curiosity danced where smiles meet the sky,
Ice cream trucks, waterslides, time flying by.
Oh how swiftly the hours would flee,
In the laughter of youth, so wild and free.
But now we’re not the same, we’ve grown apart,
Separated by life, each following our own chart.
Kids no more, learning the ropes of life’s game,
Adulthood is not quite what we thought, not the same.
Yet within, those memories still brightly glow,
Of days spent chasing bubbles, our hearts all aglow.
