Beauty
I catch your electricity in the air.
I breathe in your static,
Let it fill my heart
Until it bursts like a balloon,
Releasing my insecurities.
I let your beauty unfurl me,
Like rose petals widening to sunshine.
Your life empowers me
To dance like the wind
Which dances with the plastic bags,
Which travel for miles and miles
Without rest.
In this wind
I feel beauty,
Feel it
Collapse into my lungs,
Feel it
Catapult out of my chest.
This beauty is powerful
And unceasing.
In your electricity
I see beauty,
In the plastic bag
I see beauty
In the eyes of death
I see beauty.
