Bowling memoir

It was just a normal hot day in the middle of summer. My parents came up to me and my brother and asked if we wanted to go bowling and said yes. We played 3 games and we had a lot of fun and decided to go again the next day and I really liked it. Since I had so much fun I kept on wanting to go back. On one random day, the ball’s finger holes were too small for my dad and he had to throw the ball like it was his first time doing so. I tried that exact same way and rolled two strikes in a row, that is how I developed my rolling style. My parents couldn’t take me every single day so they signed me up for a league to get better.

After playing in this league for only a few weeks, I got a lot better and got my very own ball. The ball was black and green and weighed eight pounds. My performance has spiked up ever since then. This summer was important because it was the year I got out of elementary school and moved up to middle school. I noticed that my new school had a varsity bowling team so after trying out I made the team but was the worst player there. After countless hours of practice in school and on my own time I slowly got better. And my first bowling tournament was coming up soon. On the day of the tournament I didn't expect to play at all but the team captain decided to put me in the first game. I did extremely well and got to play every game because of my good performance. Now I have played many tournaments and I’m the best I have ever been and still getting better. Over the past 3 years I have raised my average by nearly 120. Ever since I started bowling, I have gained much better sportsmanship and have learned how to be in a team.
