"Numquam finitur, donec vita finiatur."
- K. D'Angelo Alexander

There is no greater thing, than love itself

Love heals, it breaks, and drives mad men to Hell

None can deny that it always prevails

I tried to run; it was to no avail

It was here before, and it will be our end

Or the lack thereof, I guess it depends

For all one needs is love, and nothing more

Non est maior res quam ipse amor

Our world will only ever end in death,

I shall wish love for all, with my last breath

I’d give my soul for my love,

Amor vincit omnia

The author's comments:

A romantic poem depicting the faults, and positives of love. The Latin title, “Amor Vincit Omnia” is a famous phrase that translates to “Love conquers all.” The other Latin phrase, “Non est maior res quam ipse amor,” is one of mine that translates as “There is no greater thing than love itself.” The meaning of this poem is that contrary to the belief that love makes the world go around, it is evident in how we treat one another that love is something we could all use a little more of. If balanced, healthy, and true, there is no such thing as “too much love.”
