In the morning as I wake,
I develop this feeling I cannot shake. Dawn had left me last night,
But there she was again shining bright.
At daybreak she comes and I am awakened, With kisses of light on my cheek.
I ring up the curtain as fast as can be, Before my sweet Aurora runs away from me.
There my dawn is glimmering, what a sight. She makes me forget about twilight. Shades of orange, pink, and yellow fill up the sky. Letting the light in everyday is my high.
I bathe in her glow,
the luster from her light filling my room.
My cheeks flush when she glares.
I can't help but stare.
In awe of her radiance, the glimmer that she radiates.
Her luminosity is astounding,
But my fondness towards her is even greater.
Dawn gives me the courage to get up everyday. She makes me want to keep trying, to stay.
Even when she is gone the essence of her still lingers,
I can still see her,
In the flowers, along the warm breeze, and on my scorched cheeks. She ignites my skin, I feel connected to her from within.
My face aches from how hard I smile,

I wish she could stay for more than a little while.
As her beams gleam down on me, I remember she cant stay forever, My dearest love,
we can never be together.
If I was a sorceress, I could enchant her. Wave my magic wand,
I could make our bond everlasting.
