I Close my Eyes
I close my eyes,
I hear your voice
I’m able to hear it
Over any noise.
It screams in the silence
Oh so loud
It haunts me when I’m out and about.
I close my eyes
And I see yours
The brown that makes me
Oh so sore.
They bore through me
And they tell me lies
Why did I think I saw truth in those eyes?
I close my eyes
I see your smile
It’s smiling at me
And it’s laughing because of me.
It haunts my thoughts
Oh so taunting
It makes me love you even more.
I close my eyes
I see your face
You’re sweet, sweet face
That I extremely hate.
But if I hate it,
I oh so hate it,
Then why do I love to see it next to me?
I close my eyes
And beg to God
That he will either make you see me
The way I see you
Or help me get over
This pain you always put me through.
I love you but I seriously don’t want to.
