Breathless

Two capable lungs,
Working with might,
Doing their job,
Then why is my chest tight?
I'm physically well,
But my existence feels gone,
I feel so breathless,
What went wrong?
Forcing air in,
I start to breathe,
But the feeling still lingers,
Inside of me.
How long must this last?
I cannot take the pain,
The end must be near,
My heart drops like the rain.
