One hair, out of place,
Where should it go?
It doesn't belong in that space
So where should it go?

One child, out of place,
Where should she go?
She doesn't belong in that space
So where should she go?

When you've got nowhere to be
Why are you even there?
When you've got nothing to see
Like this little hair.

The author's comments:
This poem compares two things, a hair and a child, both with nowhere to go. It is based on the saying "Almost perfect, but with one hair out of place."
