The Calm and The Storm MAG

By Anonymous

My eyes werecold, my pupils black
And day was always night.
I cried but tears inconflict fell
Through eyes that had no sight.
The western sky attacked theEast
Above my mortal pain.
The clouds condensed and showered the road
Astears were drowned by rain.
Advancing to the endless place
Where time isbuilt in stone,
I found myself outside its walls,
And found myselfalone.
I stumbled through the door's dead weight
And fell across thefloor.
A flame of light then lit my eyes
Which blindness can'tignore.
So I sat down in forever
And had some time to think.
I lookedaround and there I found,
What brought me to this brink.
The light atop thesteeple's crown
Came falling down the stairs.
And sent me climbing throughmy life
And out of my despairs.
I reached the top and saw below
A fateas tall as time.
The edge was thin, I grabbed the bells
That held me withtheir chime.
I trembled so and held a breath.
That choked me as Icried.
I clung so hard and fought a wind
That wished I hadcomplied.
Then out it came, out from the rain,
In with happy mess.
Itsplit my eyes which pacified
The time and its abyss.
I swung around, andbalance gone,
Saw the zealous dove.
I turned and slipped past time andfate
And so I fell in love.

This is a very moving poem! It keeps the reader wanting more because they're not sure what is happening at the moment, until one reaches the end. Good job!
