Madness of rain
I love the madness of the rain,
And the wind along, performing the pain.
Like dancing on top of a sword,
When I sing my heart in painful chords.
I love the sound the rain makes,
It relates to the noisy crowd within me.
The cloudy crowd deep in my heart,
Wind brings beautiful colors painfully to my art.
I love the mad wind blowing my hair,
Because although he's not here,
Maybe the air he exhaled was the wind.
Maybe the person I seek, the wind finds.
Maybe one day I’ll be the wind,
Writing in the sky,
Stars aligning,
I’ll find a way, somewhere, someday,
To rain on someone I wished to stay with.
I love the madness of the rain,
It reminds me of his presence in this plain.

I use Yelena Sol as my pen name. I wrote this poem during a heavy rainstorm, when there was even some flooding. I found myself wondering why I love the rain so much, and why I love the other things that matter to me.
