Love is a Feeling Beyond Words

To love is to open yourself up to pain and suffering
That is the sadness of life
To love is to take on the burdens you know you cannot fix
and spend a lifetime in vein trying anyway
To love is irrational, illogical
but its imperfection is what makes it human nature
what makes it so undeniably tempting
To love is to lose a part of yourself to someone else
and that is what makes it undeniably terrifying
But in the end these are all we have
And these burdens will set us free and let us fly
