Beyond the Wall I Search

I go beyond my mind and into the unknown world of blissful sighs
And wait for you, my unknown self, to come into my life
I’ll stay here in this place for long, for I know of your existence
But not until I find you will I leave this wretched place

I enter a place beyond my thoughts
It’s much too dark for light to shine
Yet there’s too much going on back where I came from
In that place of a long lost time

My blindness was cured not so long ago
And all I long for is you, my friend
A calling voice which I can’t find
For my ears are now impaired as my mind once was

And so I sit and sulk in sorrow
My mind is a bog of yesterday and tomorrow
If only I could break this wall down
And meet you on the other side

This is a most eloquent search for your soul and genuine self. Bravo!

The rhythm and rhyme scheme is evenly distributed in a beautiful way. Of course, I don't see how I can focus much on the mechanics when the writing is so dazzling... Love the poem.
