The pillow underneath my head,
It helps to sooth the springy bed …
And cushions so gently my throbbing mind,
As I enter a land of space and time …
That familiar yet distant world
Of cloudy mist and sparkling whirls –
And friendly faces all about
That calmly whisper but never shout …
The colors mixing in my perception
And harps singing in pure perfection …
Oh, sweet escape how can I say?
You’re greater than the best of days –
By you I stand a perfect man,
An unflawed being who truly can
Do anything without a shame –
I travel on without a name …
Into your Eden and heavenly place,
But soon enough it’s time to face
The truth of reality when I awake …
And begin an entirely opposite day …
