you put me in the middle
thinking I’m gunna pick a side
everyone just fed me lies
I surprised everyone with a swift no
neither side I will go
played one friend against another
thinking they’ll come out on top
but they were wrong
withdrew myself from the equation
thought steeping out would be a glorious occasion
but I was wrong
I will never know
who were my real friends all along
