Waiting For His Phone Call MAG
Sit.
And wait.
And wait, and wait, and wait.
Feel frustration grate as you resist the urge to scream.
Palms sweat while inside your mighty tempests of emotions teem.
And you choke on the tears that your heart cries as it rushes up your throat.
Patience? No. But then, can a heart ever know patience while it is lost like a boat ...
Out at sea.
And you wait, turn a page, flip a channel, tilt a bottle?
A tiny demon dances within your very soul and he throttles
Hopes, dreams, wishes, loves.
Do they vanish? Where have they gone? Drowning in an ocean of heartache,
You grasp, you reach, you pray, you desire, you dream, you hope, you long, you clutch and then
give up.
It's time for good-bye, cruel world. Will is gone, lay your head down, all is silent but for
A beat. And another, followed by yet another. A heart which does not wish to die.
Heart that wishes to dance, to love, be loved, to float as a feather, free in the sky.
And you sit up, dry your tears, take a breath,
Loving beat that overcame death.
Other fishies swim in the sea ...
Perhaps even one for me?
Ring.
