Untitled MAG
i wore my dress
but so did she
and i danced
but she danced better
and i thought that maybe if
given the chance
i could dance a
different dance
or if my life weren't such
a mess
i'd have worn another
dress
but why should i change
to keep you around
and what good is silence
when there could be sound
to be someone else
is a hard thing to do
if i didn't have myself
what could i give you
and if god really loved me
like you said he did
he would never punish me
just for being a kid
so my dress might not have been
short enough
and maybe i danced
too slow
but that's no reason to put me down
no reason to let me go
