Blank Verse MAG

By Anonymous

   I miss the keyboard,

even the pen

that always

leaks,

leaving behind

trademark blots

of

blue ink.

Sometimes

I try to

I remember.

Those days

I would write and

publish,

but now

my refrigerator door

stays empty

and cold.

Magnetic fruit beg for a purpose.

I sit.

At a blank screen

where the cruel cursor

winks at me,

in mockery.

I used to know how.

I would type and create

masterpieces.

In just thirty minutes,

I'd have my own Bob Ross painting.

But now the words vanish,

as I search for the next thing to write ...

Oh my goodness-writer's block is SO depressing- my goodness- and I swear to you- when we look at the written vents about it- those are some of our best works- because they're raw and their honest- like this one. Nice. I hope you get back to yourself again.

Your poem was great. I liked the personification you used where you talked about the computer winking at you. I also liked how each verse talked a liitle bit about something different each time. Good job!

This is beautiful! I feel like this all of the time, and I feel like a lot of people try and capture this emotion/feeling in words and fail miserable but you aced it! Great Job!

If you got time I wouldn't mind a critique=) Thanks!

I have the same feeling! I love to write by hand but it takes so long and makes my hand cramp so much that I never get enough done. I can type on the computer, but everything just seems so much more... infinite when you are looking at a blank page of actual paper... great poem... really.

Check out my stuff sometime?
