The Coming Of Fall MAG
The Coming of Fall
The maple tree outside my house
Waits for peace of mind.
He waits for silent falling snow
And gentle silver chimes.
I watch him through my window
And hear the moans he makes.
I see him swaying in the breeze
As he calmly, slowly waits.
He asks me, "How much longer?"
And I tell him, "It's today."
So he lets his leaves fall to the ground
As the bluebird flies away.
