Feeling MAG
Shivering I brush off my nervousness
and smile coolly.
You smile backwith the kindness
and innocence of a budding flower.
No one casts a feelinglike
you do.
Your eyes forgiving, loving, and accepting.
Your lipsfeeling, touching, and reaching.
Your arms embracing truth and
searching for its love.
But it's here and I hide
it in my humor, myaction, and
in my answers to your questions
of me.
Yours to take,I'll give it
freely if we can reach some
common ground.
My spirit andsubconscious
ache for the sight of your
soothing comfortingface.
It hurts me to see you
cry.
I feel you.
You'rewarm
Not hot enough to burn me
but enough to make me sweat.
Many sayI haven't a
chance.
That I shouldn't even try.
But they don'tunderstand.
To see you happy is enough
to keep me satisfied.
I'd doanything for you.
Asking for nothing in return
but a smile.
Noone casts a feeling like you do.
It's 1 a.m. I can'tsleep.
Thoughts of you rest on the
landscape of my mind,
Likepebbles washed up on
the beach.
Eventually they wash away not
that Ireally want them to.
With any luck, in the morning
you'll smile at meagain.
