The Poet MAG
A magician pulling more than just cute fuzzy bunnies
from his proper hat of truth
with the wave of a magic wand
and a sprinkling of glittering fairy dust
the truth is transformed into a multi-colored scarf
interwoven with golden strands of fiction.
A house of mirrors
opens its door to an idea
in one mirror, the idea appears as the eye beholds it
but the next mirror makes it short
the next makes it fat
and the fourth stretches it out
Standing at the door is the observing ticket taker
who swoops the idea into a sack
and takes it home
a bender of fact
an artist of fantasy
a sculptor of truth
a poet
