Pop Pop
Pop-pop you were loved by all,
And never once let me fall.
You left us on October 17, 2009,
And on that day I was not fine.
I was so very sad,
But at the same time I was glad.
I’m glad you are now in peace,
Even though you never got to meet my niece.
When I remember all the good times we had,
The memories always make me glad.
Like when we were down the beach,
Or how you always ate a peach.
And when we put those spoons on our noses,
Or when we planted Granny a bed of roses.
Even though you will be missed,
I wish I still could give you one last kiss.
You are the one and only,
And now our family is quite lonely.
