A gushing river full of tears
Separates our paths so near
Almost within reach
I can see her still so close
Is she the one who chose?
Is it her neglect?
Or my regrets?
Our paths don’t touch
And never will
No going back
To that that old track
Where we walked together
Promises forever
Our friendships gone for good
Our choices never stood
All that’s left now is apologies
That were never made.
