Game Winning Ball
Racing down the field
 with only seconds left
Opponents are trying to catch up to me
determined to get the ball out of my stick

All around me spectators are clapping
cheering me on which make me want to
 score so badly

It feels like I’m flying, maybe I’m just running so fast
Slowly, my body Shrinks into a spherical shape
I am carried by a netting around me,
 swaying back and forth

I’m jerked forward, out of my netting shelter
Flying towards a goal with a padded goalie and stick
 I start screaming
Narrowly I pass the oversized lacrosse stick and
 crash into the net

I’m overwhelmed because everyone is cheering
 and they pick me up
I am held in the air as everyone screams
 I am the Game-Winning Ball
