Following the Moon
Over the horizon, into the night. Never too far from the Sun’s envious sight. I follow the moon where ever she goes. The stars stare their piercing glare, my shining foes. I care not for I choose to chase my beloved moon. If she waits I’ll be with her soon.
Around and around we go. Never too far from the moon’s sweet glow. The Sun burns with jealous rage, a monster locked in a cage The Sun wishes to be the only one, and for the moon to be done. But no matter what, I will only see my moon for she has my heart and keeps it. Always and forever.
Around and around we go.
Circling the great round blue.
