Favorite Quote:
"Cowboy up, puss."

We threaten to betray this tortured sould
And give away the anguish and the pain it holds
We are soldiers, welled up and ready to roll
We make the summer heat seem desolate and cold

We bunch together into groups
We're warm and liquid and flow like soup
We can help or hurt you, make or break you
And every day, we're made anew

We betray sadness, we show fear
We make your feelings incredibly clear
We're forever around and always near
Because we are your traitor tears

This poem makes me sound like a sad person. I'm not. My brother died a few years ago, and this poem was inspired by the need to seem happy, even when I'm sad, to those around me. I'm actually a bubbly person, I just had a horrible experience, and I use that experience often when I write poetry.
