Ode to a Rope Swing

Wood worn smooth,
Rope fraying from little hands grabbing,
Wind in my hair,
Swinging my feet in the summer,
Flying,
Summer’s song,
Winter loneliness,
Make believe,
Swirling autumn leaves,
Spring mud,
Shifting,
Timeless,
Rope swing.
