Once upon a time
Once upon a time it takes place,
With a boy wondering through time and space,
Searching for his own happy ending,
He walked around his world descending,
Trying to find the world just for him,
He found blue doors that invited him in.
He opened the first to see what he’d find,
And this door brought him back through time,
A beautiful princess with a warm heart,
A handsome prince brave and smart,
At war with each other they were driven apart,
Only love to guide them from the start,
Meeting each other once a day,
Promises made to be carried away,
But the war struck way to fast,
And no one survived in the final blast,
But the prince and princess holding hands,
Fell together separated from their lands,
Dying together with poison and sword,
Only legends left of this lady and lord.
The boy unhappy left this door,
And once again started to explore,
The boy wondering around through time and space,
Wondering where his story will take place,
Looking for his happy ending to unfold,
He found a door made purely of gold,
A girl who lived under the sea,
Fell in love with a man that she’d always see,
Traded her fins for legs and her voice as pay,
She left to wed her prince some day,
But the prince looked away and in love he fell,
Sending the lady mermaid crying to well,
And touching the water she left one day,
Turning to sea foam she was carried away.
Again the boy upset and sad,
Looked for another ending that wouldn’t make him mad,
Again wondering through time and space,
He wondered around for another case,
Finding a door with green and black,
He opened the door curiosity back,
A little girl no older than five,
Lit some matches to try and stay alive,
Afraid of what waited for her back home,
She sat on the streets cold and along,
She saw visions she loved at each match she lit,
She smiled at each as she looked up to sit,
Her grandmother came for her that night,
And took her away without another site,
They found her again the next day,
Her smiling face told them away.
The boy left this world still sad,
To find another place where he would be glad,
Time and space being cruel as he wondered along,
He found another door that he heard a song,
The boy grabbed the door knob his last cast,
He hopped he would find his happy ending at last,
This last world was strangely filled with so many things,
A little girl at his age wondered around to find what it means,
Stumbling through the flowers and trees
So many things the little girl sees,
A cat following her every move,
And a tea party that she thought would sooth,
Held by a man and a hare,
And through every corner something started to glare,
A queen who controlled all the land,
Demanded to kill with a flip of her hand,
The boy leaned farther as the girl ran,
She was to be killed by a mad man,
The boy leaned closer in when he heard a creaking sound hit,
And the boy felt himself starting to slip,
The boy was now in this world stuck,
Helped the girl through all the muck,
Trying to find his happy end,
To fall through a hole that started to send,
He went back to falling around in space,
Falling to fast afraid of this pace,
Seeing each door pass him by,
Each person waving their final good byes,
The girl from the wonderland holding his hand,
Fell with him away from this land,
Out of the door with a magic song,
As the hatter and hare waved so long,
Passing the door of green and black,
The match girl smiling and waving back,
Around the door made purely of gold,
The little mermaid smiled waved back cold,
And past the first door made of blue,
Romeo and Juliet waved together too,
As the boy fell with the girl through space,
He closed his eye wanting to be done with this chance.
The boy woke up in his bed,
His sister sleeping pillow on her head,
The boy sighed a laid down,
And started back sleeping sound,
Once again traveling through space and time,
A happy ending he hopes to find…
