Growing up

Growing up:
Yesterday, we played in the sandbox, and everybody knew your name.
Today, the sandbox is forgotten, and everyone's the same.
The clothes we wear, the people we talk to.
All something someone told us to do.
And starting now, we're growing up, too.
Someday we'll have to, if not today.
Somday, we'll be completely different than we were yesterday. The only thing we can do is look to the future and accept it...
growing up. I'm not so sure I'm okay with it.
