My World

Welcome to a world where flowers bloom,
The sun feels good in the afternoon,
The trees are high, they fill up the sky,
The houses are just as big, too.

Why can’t I see the sun unless it’s high in the sky?
When did downtown buildings reach fifty stories high?
I just need some fresh air,
Please help me get there.

When was this place called my home,
I feel lucky to have a place to roam,
My dreams are so deep, when I’m asleep,
But will I only perceive a dream?

Why can’t I see the sun unless it’s high in the sky?
When did downtown buildings reach fifty stories high?
I just need some fresh air,
Please help me get there.

I guess I’m going to be okay,
My ancestors grew up this way,
The world is changing, rearranging,
But still, I’m going to dream deep.
