All residents know and give him fresh meat

Borisov Bulgatov is a cat that's quite fat
The neighbors don't mind, he sits on luxurious laps

From dusk til dawn, he patrols the lawns,
and protects friends from even feral fawns

One dark, summer night, he got in a fight
This proved to be a piffling plight

A roaming dog, got lost in the fog
And was met with Borisov's fury of flogs

The dog was his prey, to home he ran away
