a poem entitled lucy
And never would we be able to conceal
The truest of feelings that seem almost surreal
In a whisper, I spoke her name
In a whisper, she stole my heart.
In a moment, she became my dreams
With just one kiss we'd barely part.
When girl loves guy the reality is so
That society accepts what they see;
But how could they know
That instead of a girl
Loving him that she would ever love me?
Her happiness brought suspicions,
Her reputation was at large,
She gave iridescent kisses
To the girl on that guys arm.
For Juliet was all but fair
Though she was my fair Juliet;
She was a bad girl after all
Did things most could regret.
Fair Juliet told Juliet forever was the cost,
Her soul was much too good to sell
For less than wagered on.
But Juliet would worry
Oh, the things people would say;
How could they even fathom
That their earth angel was gay?
Fair Juliet told Juliet
“The world is gay, you're mine!”
There were no further questions
From Ms. Juliet but time.
“How long is forever
In your blue desiring eyes?”
“Forever isn't like a cloud amongst these faithful skies.
Forever isn't anytime
Its every time and once.
Just tell me that you love me and
Forever we'll be one.”
So hold my hand and speak those words
My heart just aches to hear,
“Our love is unconditional
And what we have is real.”
And never would there be a time
That people simply would accept;
The many stories much like mine
As when fair Juliet loved her Juliet
