lost friendship

one of the hrdest things I've ever done was to see your face each day
to see you, know your secrets, and never say a thing
we fought, I know, but more days we spent as friends
joking and laughing, we said we'd be together until the end
but then it happened, we fought, and here we are now
i dont remember what we fought for, can i make it up somehow?
its too late now, our friendship has been lost forever
never will you take me as a friend agian.... never.

yep
but I think my memory is faulty because I seem to remember being happy/relieved when they stopped talking to me, and I just wonder if they're different now. But I have different friends now who are amazing :)

Now imagine that except you had no way to contact that friend and see if they've changed their mind, years later.
