Two sides, black and white
Time for another game, another fight
All the pieces in their place
Standing off, face to face
The pawns are front line, the first to go
nothing more than statues with no fear to show
They begin their job, making way for bigger pieces
Though the fight isn't theirs, their fight never ceases
Now they're out of the way, bigger pieces take flight
Tanks and bombers, rooks and knights
Till the moment of glory, when all pieces will sing
"It's over! It's over...we've taken the king!"
