the sweater
There is a small boy
   He sits on the corner
 he sits all alone
   starring in wonder
 He sit there for hours
   and hours on end
waiting for his life to begin
   He sits there through rain
 and evil stormy weather
   never revealing
 whats under his sweater
   He hides up the bruises
 he sits there in pain
   he waits in the darkness
 hiding in rain
   His dad is a drunk
 His mom is no better
   He sits all alone
 clinging to his sweater
   He sits on a corner
 through cold endless night
   he sits on the sidewalk
 he waits for the light
   His small little sweater
 is his only friend
   he sits on the corner
waiting for his life to end.
